Bar Slump

In a world of black and white
My form interlocks with nature
I communicate with the roots of trees
And watch life drift, as do the mountains
Yet I drift too, in a solemn sleep of the mind
Slowly slipping across my path to obscurity
Allowing my form to alter on this cardboard excerpt of existence
Through rain and earth my soul passes
My conscience is quiet
And nobody can see my smile.
