Because of the arrangement of the objects, this has an open feeling to it, which I like. :)

Pulling off such scenes is one of the hardest things in photography (imo). The ones that I find intriguing are the ones that somehow tell a story, e.g. a spoon, a half finished bowl of cereals, and an empty milk glass on a counter or something like that. Here the objects are individually interesting but don't combine to tell a (probable) story.

Personally, I would go for an individual shot of glasses and their shadows, and another one of the pineapple.

Hmmm good point, I suppose being the one who took the picture I can see a story as this was taken at an.... interesting moment in time yesterday. A spoon two glasses and half a pineapple do not go well together. I don't normally take photos to have story, this is probably why I have some very weak photos, but I see what you mean. I just took this because I thought it was an interesting scene (meant nothing to me, yet I hoped other people could figure something out), because of the placement of the objects and the harsh light.
You learn something everday if you're not at school... Good advice, thanks as always! :)

Well, I don't take 'story' pics either. And the components of you pic is interesting, its just when you put them together into one pic, there is an implicit expectation by the viewer that there is something connecting them (even if it is just a contrast of textures etc.)
