Japan Day I by aobaob Japan Day I by aobaob
Yesterday was Japan day in Düsseldorf, the city with the highest population of Japanese citizens outside Japan. The celebration begins at 12 where social non-confirmists who once watched an anime show dress up as their favourite character, sing JPop, eat things with wasabi, allow their photo to be taken. Towards the evening, Japanese models stand on exhibits in Kimonos and some incredible fireworks go off, then everyone, if not already drunk, gets absolutely hammered. I am pleased to say I was only an observer. ;)
Now, what has this photo got to do with that? Absolutely nothing. This guy was a drummer.

Thanks Hanan, I'm curious, what is the aobaob touch? When I go through my entire gallery, thousands of works with no direction, no touch, just different to the point of similarity with everyone else I'm inspired by.
Actually don't bother answering that, I often go off on a tangent when I'm not actually talking to anyone. ;)

i understand what you mean, and yet, one can see a common thread.
i guess i was talking about highly contrasted abstracted blacks and whites. but you are doing more than that, i agree.

you know, i have been told the same thing many times and have answered almost your same reply :)

A lot of people call artists social non-conformists, I would never consider myself such, and I don't know about you Hanan, but artists do have a lot in common. It's probably good they don't mix too often. ;)
I look back at my abstract black and whites and feel nauseated, not sure why.

i won't say either i'm totally adapted socially. but that have maybe to do with the particular society i live in.

for the old works, it's a good sign, i'd say. :)

Hmmm... I find that interesting. Perhaps I'll know why when I'm lazy enough to think about it. Right, I think its my bedtime.
